Life is like a game

For those of you who play those match 3 alike games like Candy Crush, Bubble witch or Panda Pop you will understand this perfectly. You know how sometimes you get stuck on a level that’s really hard and no matter what you do, you just can’t beat it? You try the same things over and over. Maybe next time, you try something different but you still get the same result, failure. Yet you still go back and try again and again. It occurred to me today that I am just like a gambler, going back for the next fix. I know I’ll get the right combination of moves eventually so I keep doing it. But it’s false hope each and every time. I hope I will finish the level this time but the random fruit or colored shapes that fall from the top are not the ones that I need to win. Or we move our finger to move the piece but it goes up instead of sideways! Isn’t that frustrating? But sometimes that was the right move anyway. Life is like that. We make what we think are the right decisions but they turn out to be mistakes and we have to try again.

But thank God that He is what we need. When we wake up in the morning, we may not have what we need to eat or energy we need to make it through the day. But PRAISE OUR GOD IN HEAVEN that we are not alone in this world. And He “is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask, think or imagine according to His power that is within us.” Eph. 3:20 He doesn’t give us false hope. He doesn’t offer something and not deliver. He gives us what we need each and every time. He tells us not to worry because He will provide for us, all we have to do is ask. He tells us He will never leave or forsake us. He is on our side.

We may have people on this earth who play games against us. And it seems like no one is playing on our side. But God is watching over you. He loves you and He wants you to ask Him for His help. The world tells us that we can do everything ourselves, we shouldn’t rely on others. But God created you to rely on Him and others that He put on this earth with you. And if your family and friends asked wouldn’t you help them? Give them the honor of helping you. God bless you all.
