#attitudeofgratitude Music and musicians

After a wonderful praise and worship session at church yesterday I will give big thanks to God for music and musicians. We have a great group of people who sing and play at our church. God knew what He was doing when He gave us each a gift we could share with the world. If we all had the same gifts, or we all looked alike, the world would be a dull and dim place. But even though He created us in His own image, we are all different. And that makes the world weird, unusual and interesting.

The musicians help the audience to praise our God by sharing their gifts with others. they don’t keep it to themselves and hide it under a basket. They make and write beautiful music so others can tell God how much we love and thank Him for His love and faithfulness. God gave us each something we are good at to share it with others. I like to write. I write fiction and non-fiction. So that’s why I have this blog and why I wrote my Christian romance book, to share my love of God with others and hope it will touch someone as much as it has touched me. I hope you are finding things you are thankful for this month also. God bless you and keep you safe this holiday season.

#attitudeofgratitude Sunshine and rain

We had a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest. It was close to 70, which is unusual for November. So I am thankful for the unexpected sunshine we had today. But I am also thankful for the rain we usually have this time of year because it makes our area so beautiful, all year round even. God definitely had a wonderful idea to make so many different climates and landscapes.

#attitudeofgratitude God’s voice

I was worrying earlier today about something I was writing for my next book. It’s a Christmas devotional that I will publish the last week of November. I was asking God, “Are you sure you want me to do this? Is it good enough? Will they really want to read it?” And He reminded me of something He told me to tell someone a few weeks ago. “God will equip you to do it if He tells you to do it.” In other words, of course it’s going to be good because God put the words in my head to put down on paper (or the computer.) So I am thankful that He is listening to my worries and whispering His sweet voice in my ear.

The dj on KLOVE, the Christian radio station I listen to issued a challenge today. He said to find something to be  grateful for every day this month not just on Thanksgiving. So I’m going to do it on my blog and maybe it will inspire more of you to do the same.

Today is my birthday, so I am grateful for all 48 years the Lord has given me. I have been a Christian for only 26 of those years. And less than that totally dedicated to doing His plan in my life but I still thank Him for all the years I’ve been on this earth. I thank Him for helping me through all the ‘crap’ life has dealt me that has made me the person I am today. Because without His love and the Word to read for assurance of His promises I would be curled up like a baby and checking out. I like to say that I have earned every year that I have aged, especially with 5 kids! So praise God for getting me this far! What do you have to be grateful for today?
